When budgeting for our wedding, flowers were almost at the top of my list. There is something about beautiful, organic florals that totally “make” a wedding in my eyes. When searching for a florist, there was no question on who I wanted it to be. I had regularly visited Maria Maxit with Maxit Flower Design’s website before I was engaged just because I thought her work was so beautiful. So when the time finally came, she was one of the first people I called – and I am SO glad I did! Seriously. If you are getting married or know of someone getting married and are looking for your dream wedding florist, I have your girl! Maria was so sweet, listened to every detail and “vision” I had for my flowers, and executed them perfectly.
When thinking about what I wanted the flowers to look like, I originally told Maria that I wanted to do all pinks and corals. But quickly, as I went through the planning process, I began envisioning all neutral tones with touches of gold. There was something about an old reclaimed wood barn, with chandeliers beaming from the ceiling, and white florals with touches of greenery draping the tables that seemed to represent the exact wedding style I was going for, understated elegance.
The guests were then led to the back of the barn and were seated amid rows and rows of pecan trees. There – a cross draped with white and green florals, a white rose petal lined walkway, and two more large arrangements at the front of the wedding aisle created my “dream” ceremony location.
Long greenery with touches of white hydrangeas, blush colored roses, and white peonies draped our head table of forty-two people. 60″ round tables surrounded the head table, and candles provided a warm glow throughout the room.
From here, florals were found accenting different areas of the barn, including my cake, on whiskey barrels surrounding the stage, and on bar highs that had been spread throughout the reception space.
In conclusion, Maria is a floral GENIUS and created the most beautiful, amazing wedding flowers I could have ever dreamed of! So here’s to you, Maria. You will always hold a special place in my heart. ♥
